Ello App Reviews

Clean & Minimalistic

I love the clean and simple interface. Easy to search and find inspiration. This is the best social network for photographers.

Inspiring

This is one of my favorite apps/websites. It allows you to share your artistic side (multiple mediums) while being inspired by the community youre doing it with.

Same drawback as others ....

Make Ello like Twitter, where I can click on he persons avatar and a window will come up that allows me to follow, block, leave a comment, etc. Its much faster if I want to follow several people or orgs.

Good but...

I applaud the creators of this app because I think theyre off to a good start with it, but if its to become a good alternative to Instagram, it needs to become more intuitive and much, much faster. Good luck to them! If those changes are made, Ill definitely re-write my review.

Social media with Aspergers

Ello is everything I ever wanted in social media... if I had Aspergers.

Really clean

I think I am going to like this app. My biggest problem right now is that the navigation bar is not always visible and I have to scroll back to the top to move around. I love that I can add more than one photo to a post, or none at all.

Great start!

Ello delivers in creating a platform where artist, writers, and idea makers can unite. Unlike Dribbble and Instagram users should feel the opportunity to share uncensored and raw images & gifs while avoiding ads. I cant wait to see how this app evolves in the near future.

Really like this app

I came to Ello last week as an alternative to Instagram. I was pleasantly surprised! It takes a bit of playing to learn the app, but once you do- you quickly learn that it has MANY improved features over their competition. You can post more than one photo, you can pinch to zoom for close ups. You can post text either before or after the photo or both. Everything works! I do wish you could avoid all the suggested follows as that was a pain. After spending a good 15 minutes in the app it becomes quite intuitive. As this app gains popularity, I still need to figure how to block people. I hope its here to stay, its a lovely well thought out platform! Thanks Ello!

Great app

This is a great app and platform. Very creative people and things on Ello. Must have.

Getting there...

This is a great app, I just wish it was a little faster.

Great start

This app is great. I have been using it in addition to Instagram ever since IG said they were going to be using algorithms. I love that Ello keeps the user in mind and cares about their experience. The only downside I have found is that the app is pretty slow and lags quite a bit.

Not quite there yet but heading that way

Hoping you keep working on the website and adding a few more details like being able to send private messages, I think its a great place just needs more work keep going and get this finished!

Great but a bit slow

Ello is off to a great start, but needs to run more smoothly, efficiently, and quickly. Loading time is as painfully slow as the old dial-up connections. Other than that, I like everything about it.

No algorithms. Just straight up community

I love that Ello is a community of artists, makers, and people that just want to share their voice. I also love that Ello isnt sold out to the algorithm ad dollar. So long IG community. Hello Ello.

Amazing design, great art and content!

Really like the app. The design is great, there is a ton of amazing art and content! Dig it.

A truly wonderful place for creators!

Ello is a beautiful and brilliantly designed network for creatives and creators of all sorts. Its my favorite destination on the Internet.

Love it

I recently dumped Facebook and switched to Ello full time. Loving it so far. No clutter. No ads. Just what I want.

Its cool

Its ad free which is nice... Its a good and refreshing alternative to what Instagram is becoming

interesting

many creative communities

I like where its going

Its an awesome app for viewing others creations. Still a little hard to use. It loads slowly, and Its not addictive, which is both a good and bad thing.
